Miyazaki has confirmed that Dark Souls series will not be developed in the foreseeable future -but it’s not retiring- and the company From Software is developing several new titles which may appeal to the public, just like DS did.
This was covered by the Japanese blog estueru, Miyazaki was asked what the future has in store for the Dark Souls series to which the president of the company replied they were done with the series for now.
A twitter user by the name of BlackKite translated some of the lines from the article, according to which the developer possibly wants to pursue a different genre of game, which may or may not resemble the fan favorite Dark Souls series.
