The Microsoft Event that took place today was mostly focused on Windows 10, but there are good news for Xbox One players as well. Bitstream audio pass-through, including Dolby Atmos, is coming to Microsoft’s console via a future update. The feature will be possible by the Blu-Ray player.
Dolby Atmos is coming to both the original system and the Xbox One S, for both video (television, movies and the like) and gaming, as long as each specific product supports it. Microsoft didn’t say when this update is coming other than “soon”. We’ll keep you updated – but don’t expect it before 2017.
