In For Honor, you play the roles of historical soldiers like knights, samurais and vikings as the game is set in a medieval fantasy setting. The game is played from a third-person perspective. Ubisoft released For Honor in Feb 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This guide is about For Honor Faction War.
Faction War is a continuous battle among the different factions in the game. It is a battle for territory and for end of season rewards. Being a dominant faction doesn’t only involve winning multiplayer matches and having a lot of members. There are sound strategies that one must follow to keep his faction prominent. This guide will serve as a faction war guide.
For Honor Faction War
First up, faction war isn’t a separate multiplayer mode. All multiplayer matches you play contribute to Faction War. You get to choose your faction the first time you launch the game. Don’t worry, you can change your faction anytime and moreover, choosing a specific faction doesn’t restrict you to a particular set of heroes either.
- Now, for the faction territories. In the multiplayer map, there is a large overworld map divided into differently colored territories.
- These colored territories are further divided which allow players to put war assets in them.
- These territories shift based on multiplayer matches and on the distribution of war assets. This shifting effects you in two ways.
- First, it determines the standing of your faction in the faction war and secondly, it changes the variation of the multiplayer map you can play on. Example – A Citadel Gate can become a snowfield if it is controlled by the Vikings.
Now, onto the Faction war assets.
- War Assets are awarded to all players at the end of a multiplayer match and you need them to control a portion of the overworld map.
- To gain more war assets, have as many people as you can in your faction.
Now, for the War Seasons.
- The first thing you should know is that the whole faction war crosses over platforms – PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There are five turns in a season.
- At the end of the fourth turn, the season concludes and the faction with the most territory control wins the season.
- This gains the faction members unique items which cant be gotten by any other means.
