Middle Earth: Shadow of War will have a PC, PS4 and an Xbox One release, that much we know. But, by the looks of Monolith’s talks with Microsoft about the Project Scorpio it stands much clearer that We will see its release on the Project Scorpio.
Monolith technical director Matt Alan said in an interview:
So far, we really like the hardware of Project Scorpio. I don’t know how much they’ve revealed the specs, but it is an upgrade. It’s not just sort-of, ‘We’re going to upgrade some stuff.’ There’s things you can do with it. So, we’re pretty excited to be working with Microsoft specifically.
Monolith plan on fully utilizing the upcoming Xbox Scorpio‘s ability to display enhanced visuals and 4K resolution due to the upgraded hardware.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has an initial release date of 22nd August this year and will be available for all major gaming platforms including PC, Xbox One and PS4.
