Pokemon GO Plus is a smartwatch-like accessory that lets players catch monsters in Pokemon GO without having to take their phones out from their pockets. It was expected to launch in July, but that clearly didn’t happen – and now Nintendo of America has taken to Twitter to announce it will launch in September instead.
The company didn’t share a specific release date, nor a reason for the delay. Pokemon GO Plus works just like a smartwatch – it connects via Bluetooth to the player’s smartphone, and offers notifications via rumble about various gameplay details, and lets users perform some actions on the device itself like catching Pokemon.
The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will now be released Sept 2016 instead of the originally expected end of July launch. https://t.co/QgjZf1aAV6
