Gaming publishers have been releasing their financial reports from the period that goes from April 1 to June 30 recently, and Square Enix was no different. Just like SEGA, the company saw a profit increase compared to 2015, with revenue increasing 21 percent (to 51 billion yen) and that situation will only improve once Final Fantasy 15 releases.
The operating income saw a 13 percent increase arriving at almost 9 billion yen for the quarter. Square Enix enjoyed major releases like the Tomb Raider games and Dragon Quest Heroes II.
Final Fantasy 15 releases in September 30 on PS4 and Xbox One.
