PC gamers can now play Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which is a Wii U and Nintendo Switch exclusive) using CEMU, a Wii U emulator. While this emulator had been in the works already, the developers have bumped the development of this emulator up a notch and made games like Zelda BotW, a whole lot better to play.
A reddit user blockanton reported seeing the developer Exzap replying to a question on Patreon about the emulator’s possible upcoming improvements. The dev answered by saying that there will be a slight improvement in performance in the 1.7.5 version of the emulator; but, nothing too major.
While CEMU 1.7.4 has made the game playable at 4K for some players, most players are still struggling to maintain the 30 fps mark.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
