Dishonored 2, Arkane Studios’ stealth action-adventure video game released on November 11, 2016. The game is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Dishonored 2 is sequel to Bethesda Softworks’ Dishonored which released in 2016. Now while you play Dishonored 2, you need to get Runes so that you can increase and enhance your abilities and make your missions easier. Runes can be found in plenty of places throughout the game. Here you can find out where to find Runes locations in each mission in Dishonored 2.
Dishonored 2 Runes Locations in Each Mission
Mission 1: A Long Day in Dunwall
There are no Runes Locations in Mission 1 of Dishonored 2.
Mission 2: Edge of the World
- You will find the first Rune in the sunken ship. Head out from your cabin and get to the deck. Then jump in the water. Then dive in the boat to find the Rune. Search inside the Whale corpse, go after the the blood trails.
- Then next to the whale corpse, move in the direction of a pink building. There will be back market icons visible. There you can buy a Rune from the Black Market in town.
- After that, you will find a canal near the Overseer Building. Jump into it and locate the small gate. To get the Rune, you have to shoot the plank with the crossbow.
- Get to the terrace of Overseer Building. Enter the building through the balcony. On the third floor, there will be safe. For the safe combination, check on the book and note kept on the table.
- There will be another terrace that you can reach from the balcony. Check for Overseers congratulating the crowd. To get the Rune, put him to sleep and jump down.
- Head back to the Overseer Building balcony. Jump to another balcony located at the same side. Get to the rooftop, when you reach the other side of the building. Then go forwards towards a green building. It will have a logo of a cigar on it. There will be another rooftop ahead, climb it and then dive in water. Then get on the land and locate the blue building. You have to knock the overseer inside to get the Rune.
Mission 3: The Good Doctor
- Go to the dining hall. Then move towards the left, near table, you will get a Rune.
- On the fourth floor of the building, you have to use Blink or Far Reach to reach near a window that has a Rune inside.
- In the Recuperation Room, destroy Bloody nest to get the Rune.
- You can find one more Rune in the basement of the elevator. Use Blink or Far Reach to get there and then break the cables first. Finally use the powers to reach the location.
- The last Runes location, is in Outsider Shrine. It is located on the fourth Floor alley.
Mission 4: The Clockwork Mansion
- After you finish killing enemies that attack you, search for damaged furniture behind the Carriage Station.
- Buy Rune from the Black Market.
- Get in the Bloodfly building in Upper Aventa.
- You can get one Rune in Jindosh’s Lab, after using console. Lookout for the anatomy module.
- In the main area of the district locate the place which is heavily guarded, then look on the civilians left side for a building. You can get a rune in Outsiders Shrine on the 3rd floor.
Dishonored 2: Things You Must Try During Gameplay
Mission 5: The Royal Conservatory
- Buy Rune from the black market in the left part of Town.
- Go in the second floor of Conservatory and enter the room filled with plans.
- On the roof of Ashworth’s office you can get a rune guarded by creepy dogs.
- One is in the Archives, you can find a key in the basement. Use that to find a rune near Stairs and Elevator.
- An outsider’s shrine is located in the area. You have to reach the top of building and disable traps.
Mission 6: The Dust District
- The first one is in the locker in building behind you after you meet Captain Foster and get on the street.
- Search for an old building in Dust District, reach the second floor balcony.
- Another one is in evidence room locked in Overseer Building. You can get the key from Overseers.
- An outsider’s shrine is located in an office on 3rd floor of Hand Saloon.
Mission 7: Crack in the Slab
- Cross steps and reaches at the top of Mansion 2nd floor.
- The second one is bit tricky. You have to use Valve’s wheel here. First throw it towards the hole in the wall and then switch to present. Jump ahead and get the wheel. Now enter the room filled with water, use the valve to drain it and there you will find a Rune.
- The last one is in the right part of mansion. Find the window that has some documents on it. You have to first go in past and kill workers. Later you have to come back in the present, and climb to reach a broken window on top. Again go in past first kill the soldiers. At last you will get the Rune.
Mission 8: The Grand Palace
- Locate the building with a windmill. It will have a Rune in the bathroom. Enter the building from roof. Then enter the the same through balcony just below the windmill.
- At the 1st floor, reach the First Captain’s suite, you have to find the combination from Duke’s suite first that is above this one. Once you get the combination open up the safe and then get the rune.
- You can find on more Rune located in a storage area. Enter through a garden by breaking the barricade. Use the heart to locate rune.
- After leaving the black market look towards right for rocks. Then search for some boards. Break them and you will find a cave with Outsiders Shrine.
Mission 9: Death to the Empress
- Get one Rune from the Black Market.
- look out for the building that comes before Dunwall Tower. Then take the small window to reach the cubby to find a rune.
- Go to the Dunwall Tower’s security room and move towards the back side. Then take a right side and look on the top of pipes.
- The last Rune can be obtained after you defeat a witch in the damaged building on Dunwall Streets. Then cross the street and fight more enemies in the apartment ahead. Finally go inside the apartment and look for Barometer. Turn it on and you will get a way to a Outsider Shrine located behind the secret door.
