Cuphead
You, a fan of Dark Souls? And the 1930s style cartoons? Then Cuphead might be your cup of tea. Cuphead’s development began back in 2010 and has been constant topic for discussion in the industry since. Only till late this year, we were finally able to get our hands on this masterpiece. Developed by StudioMDHR, the game is a run and gun game where the protagonist is presented with a number of evil bosses in order to repay a debt to the devil. The visuals are beautifully made with perfection and catches the 1930s spirit in the best possible way. Over 2 million copies of the game have been sold already and there’s no stopping. Destiny 2
The second game in the Bungie developed series was launched this year. The highly anticipated title was also released on PC after the demand from the fan community. Destiny 2 is a beautiful space opera that offers epic battles with big guns and tons of stuff to explore. The campaign has been described as “a much more enjoyable and richer experience than the rather lackluster single-player story that arrived with the original game. GameSpot’s Kallie Paige called it a similar experience to the first game yet elegant in its own way due to several tweaks and additions. It’s great addition to your games library at the end of the year.

FIFA 18
Brett Phipps of TrustedReviews calls this year’s FIFA entry as the best one since its inception. FIFA 18’s Journey mode sees the return of our hero, Alex Hunter, from the previous installment. Unlike FIFA 17, Alex Hunter can now travel to different parts to the world to face new challenges and many popular faces in the football world also make their appearance throughout the story mode. Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, Dele Alli and Thomas Müller are just to name a few. Although, it’s way behind PES in terms of delivering fluid, satisfying football, it manages to keep you engaged for hours. All of this looks and plays its best on the Microsoft’s enhanced Xbox One X. If you’re planning to a New Year party with your friends, look no further.
