Starcraft HD Remaster is well into development and will be announced in September, as reported by Korean site iNews24, which was translated by Kotaku. It cites “multiple sources”, so don’t take this as an official announcement and do take it with a grain of salt.
According to the report, the game will feature updated graphics and an improved user interface, but maintains the gameplay. This means it’s unclear whether this is a full-on remake or just an HD upscale, or something in-between. Either way, it’s a reason to get excited.
If Blizzard actually announces this in September, it would coincide with the finals of the Starcraft II World Championship Series.
