Destiny 2 is the sequel to 2014 Destiny game. This online-only multiplayer first-person shooter game is releasing on 6 Sep 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One. This mission is the opening strike of the game and it is playable in the Destiny 2 beta. This guide will show how to finish this mission in the game.
Destiny 2 Guide: Inverted Spire Strike Mission Guide
Strike teams consist of three players. Then there are a lot of and difficult challenges to take on. The players need to fight through regular enemies and boss enemies. The rewards include rare, legendary and sometimes even exotic weapons and gears.
You will be given the objective of investigating the Cabal initially. Go to the marker and you will find Vex fighting Cabal forces. You need to defeat all enemies here along with the shielded minotaur.
Now, activate the small tower in front of you using the ghost and turn right. A group of pillars spawn in midair. Jump over to the them to go to the other side. Hop through the portal to go to the next section.
Go ahead and fight the three Legionnaires and the Psion. Go to the next portal and the next section. Go on the path until you get to an opening where you find Vex and Cabal forces fighting. Take out all enemies including a powerful Bloodguard Centurion and a few Hobgoblins.
Now, go ahead. There is a ball surrounded by Incendiors. Take out the incendiors to convert the ball into a portal. Go through it to reach a ledge. Defeat all enemies here and follow the path leading to a chasm in the wall. You will dind some Gladiators at this place.
Keep your distance while dealing with them as they are not easy. Go to the marker and down the platforms. Keep proceeding on this path through the Vex architecture and till you get to the digsite. There are some enemies and a warbeast in the area so defeat all of them.
Take out the drill site security officers in their huts and now your objective will be to board the Cabal Drill. Interact with the levers to activate two gravity lifts taking you up. At this point you have to deal with more enemies before you get inside the drill.
Take out the Cabal here and scan the middle structure with the ghost. Now, a countdown will start. Cabal forces including Gladiators and a Bloodguard Legionary, Incendiors and Warbeasts should be hold off. After the countdown, go to the gravity lift and you will be in a new area. You have to take care of the Cabal forces. However you can leave the the troops on the ledge above you. Drop down to a platform on your left.
Take out the Bloodguard Icendior here and go forward to the digsite. There is a massive drilling machine here so avoid it. Dodge its arms, deal with the Cabal forces and make your way round the right of the digsite.
Keep going and you will reach a tunnel leading to one of the lower levels. Follow the path and you will reach an area where the Prothean Modular Mind Boss will spawn. This boss is a massive minotaur so aim for its head and take out the Vex forces spawning on either side of it.
The boss will occasionally disappear and respawn on different areas on the battlefield so keep moving and keep an eye out for the boss at all times. Once the boss is down two-thirds of its health, the floor will disappear and you will be dropped down to a new floating platform where the boss is waiting.
There are a lot of cover areas here so use them. Take out all the goblins spawning near the boss. When the floor turns red, it means it will deal damage to all Guardians so at that time, go up to a new platform around the circular level. After depleting his health even more, this floor will disappear as well and you will be dropped down to yet another floor.
Now, the boss is much quicker and has more room to move around. Keep taking cover and whittle down his health. Keep aiming for the boss’ eye to deal more damage. Don’t stray off the platform and keep attacking him. Defeat the boss and any allies it spawns and you will successfully finish this mission.
