Destiny 2 Strikes Details Guide and How to Unlock Strikes

Destiny 2 is release in Oct 2017 for PC. Here we will discuss about Destiny 2 Strikes details and how to unlock Strikes. If you are a guardian class, strikes are some of the regular challenges you will face in the game. This guide will explain about these strikes in the game.

Destiny 2 Strikes Details Guide and How to Unlock Strikes

When you complete the main story mission Fury on the planet Io, you unlock strikes. Go back to The Farm social space to find Hawthorne. Talk to her and then to Zavala and you will unlock strikes. You do need to have a certain power level before undertaking strikes but at this point in the story, you will mostly be at the required power level. The required experience level is 12, required power level is 130 and the recommended power level is 140.

So what are Destiny 2 Strikes?

These are basically activities involving high levels, lasting around 20 minutes or so and are like story missions. Strikes require a Fireteam of three. If you do not have a team, you will be match made with random players. Unlike some other missions, strikes do not require much teamwork. Its pretty much mindless shooting all enemies so you shouldn’t have any problems with the players you are match made with.

Here are the list of Strikes available in the game thus far.

  • The Inverted Spire
  • Pyramidion
  • Exodus Crash
  • Arms Dealer
  • Savathun’s Song
  • Lake of Shadows (PS4 Exclusive)

You dont get Strike specific rewards but you do get a mix of Rare and Legendary loot and Faction and Clan XP rewards.

Here are a few tips for strike missions.

ALWAYS SEE THE CHALLENGES
You see these at the start of each Strike and can be accessed by bringing up the Ghost. You can get additional rewards by completing them.

YOU DONT NEED TO KILL EVERYONE
There are many paths you can use to just sprint past enemies to save time. When you are grinding for power level, your priority will be to finish Strikes as quickly as possible and not to kill everyone.

PRACTICE QUICK PLATFORMING
The platforming sections in Strikes are a good way to practice running so make use of this opportunity.

ASSIGN JOBS TO TEAM MEMBERS
This helps especially against bosses. For example, two people can focus on the boss while two others can focus on taking out other enemies nearby.

YOU CAN TELEPORT TO A TEAM MEMBER FAR AHEAD
This happens in certain points like boss fights. Use this when one of your team members or you have been left too far behind.
