It may seem kind of strange to see Final Fantasy or in general, any video game being turned into a TV series; especially one which is also coming to Netflix. The story line may be bazaar but the series contains in-game clips from the game as well as live-action recreations of in-game scenes.
The story starts when a son gives his father final fantasy XIV for PlayStation 4, the son joins him and plays with him online and helps him through the game without revealing his true identity, meanwhile writing a blog about the experience.
Final Fantasy XIV: Hikari no Otousan will premiere of Japanese TV as well as on Netflix. Also, this is NOT an April Fools joke, this is actually happening.
