Developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft Studios, Gears Of War 4 is the fifth installment in the Gears Of War franchise despite the title. It is the first entry to not be developed by Epic Games. The game is a third-person shooter game and it is currently available for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. It was released on 11 October 2016.
There are several bosses the player encounters in the single player version of the game. Each one has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. Even the smallest and weakest of the bosses can prove difficult to handle if you are not knowing how to deal with it.
This guide will show how to defeat the boss – The Carrier.
Gears Of War 4 Boss Fight The Carrier
This boss appears in Act 4, Chapter 3 and this one’s a toughie too. Be careful to not get close to it as it can them ground-pound you to your doom.
Another attack this boss uses is flying projectiles emerging from its chest cavity which can cause burning along with huge damage. Try to hit these projectiles in the air and stay behind cover.
Whenever the boss is trying to hit the flying projectile attack, direct all your firepower to his chest cavity. At the bottom of the stairs, there are frag grenades and boomshot ammo which are very useful against this boss.
When you reduce his health significantly, the boss will get aggressive and send a shockwave with his ground-pound attack. Also, his projectiles will now fire straight at you and not stay in the air. Stay behind cover and hit its chest cavity when the animation appears.
