Microsoft is working on their latest and greatest console, the Xbox Scorpio – while the console is set to arrive in November. But, the company may be working on some other things as well – for instance a Netflix like platform for games.
Phil Spenser discusses the probability for single player game developers to integrate their games into their Azure Cloud computing and instead of going for massive franchises and multiplayer, capitalize on downloadable content, updates by giving subscriptions to games.
While this model would be a step forward to empower Single player game development, a lot more can come out of this. Phil Spencer also said he was looking for tools and models for single player game developers on twitter.
