Some more Nintendo NX details that you should take with a grain of salt are coming via a report from Let’s Play Video Games. The outlet states its source is a developer that is working for an NX title that is launching on Holiday 2017.
According to this source, the development kit they received is “slightly thicker than the Nintendo 3DS XL when folded, 25 mm, with a width of around 281 mm and a height of 92 mm with the controllers attached”. Once detached, the controllers have the same depth and height, and a width of 38 mm. The system has a TV connector and an SD card slot.
As far as the controllers go, both have a circle pad and a camera and share buttons, while each has a D-Pad and an XABY button layout respectively.
Certainly interesting stuff. We’ll know more as we get closer to the Nintendo NX’s supposed release date of March 2017.
