First, when you sprint, put away your weapon. This will speed you up by 6 percent. Take off your shoes in the pre-game as you will be quiter this way on many surfaces. By right clicking the canister from your inventory, you can refuel the car while in it. When you are playing in a team, use map markers and call out in specific directions.
In a team, set your chat to party-only to minimise the risk of enemies overhearing your tactics. You can toggle your fire rate with the B key or left on the d-pad. There are three types of aiming – Hip fire (Hold RMB), aiming down the sights (Tap RMB) and you can also go straight to ADS by holding right click. Find the one you are most comfortable with.
When you see big towns under the flight path, they usually have better loot but are dangerous places as well. Find small clusters of buildings at the edge of the parachuting range and land there to get good loot. The key things you should get first – Assault Rifles, A Backpack, A Bulletproof Vest, Healing Items and A Helmet.
By default, all doors in the world are closed so if you find one open, there is a player inside. Same way, always close the door when you go in or out to avoid players knowing your location. Be careful of fall damage which starts when you are two stories high and fall down.
If you are taking fire from some yet unseen person, dont go prone else you will be dead. Zig zag and sprint to cover to lose the line of sight. Always clear buildings before looting. If you just charge in, you will die. If you see loot just lying right in front of you, it is most likely a trap so donot go to grab it.
When you are fighting multiple enemies, ignore the ones that are downed, instead go after the other attackers. Vehicles are great to cover large distances but make a lot of noise too so use them wisely. Vehicles roll down hills and explode upon large impacts so use them wisely.
Not every scope will work with all guns. So having a proper knowledge of guns and attachments is important as well. Having a high level helmet is very important to protect yourself against snipers. And if you are the one with a sniper rifle, donot aim enemies with a good helmet at a fair distance as he will survive the hit and will run to cover and you will lose your kill.
After the beginning, pistols are useless unless you have an Auto-Pistol. So stave off that useless pistol ammo and hunt for better weapons and ammo. Damaged high level armour is worse than undamaged low level one. The number next to it in your inventory shows the comparison. Avoid bridges at all costs. If there is a bridge leading to a safe zone, there are bridge trolls there, just waiting for someone to cross to get the kill. Get there early, swim or find a boat.
Always be on the move, whether looting or camping. Even while camping, keep on wiggling side to side as that will avoid you being a headshot target which happens quite often.
