Developer Niantic Lab debuted the first Pokemon Go update following the massive fan reaction to the game.
The 1.0.1 update features the usual suspects for a game that is being played a lot: basic stability, performance and usage fixes. The main promise is players will no longer have to input the username and password every time they re-open the app, since closing it won’t sign players out anymore.
Pokemon Go has only been out for a week but it’s already enjoying 7.5 million US downloads and roughly $1.6 million in daily revenue. It has single-handedly boosted Nintendo’s poor financial track record as of late.
