We need to modify the registry to remove Network icon from Lock screen. As you know that editing registry can cause your PC to malfunction, you must get a full backup before going ahead. Once done, others will not be able to see or change the network settings while you leave your PC locked. So let’s check out how to remove network button on Windows 10.

How to Remove Network Button from the Lock Screen

  1. Open Run command using the Windows key + R keys.
  2. Then type regedit.
  3. Click OK.
  4. When the registry opens, browse the following path:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System
  5. Then select System (folder) key.
  6. Right-click to the right side and select New.
  7. Click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  8. Here you have to give a name for the new DWORD as DontDisplayNetworkSelectionUI.
  9. Then press Enter.
  10. Next you have to double-click on the new DWORD.
  11.  And change its value from 0 to 1. This will hide the network icon. If you want to display it, just change it from 1 to 0.
  12. Once done, close the Registry.
  13. Reboot your PC.
  14. Then lock the PC and check the result.
