Development studio Renegade Kid, best known for the Dementium and the Mutant Mudds franchises, is shutting down after 10 years.
The studio’s co-founders, Jools Watsham and Gregg Hargrove are going their separate ways and will both keep working on the gaming industry, but definitely not together. Watsham will develop games at his new company Atooi, and Hargrove has started a new studio called Infitizmo where he’ll develop games from now on.
Renegade Kid’s closing was a tough decision for both parts and they’ve ended on good terms. Mutant Mudds will definitely be the studio’s most memorable franchise, it was critically acclaimed and spawned multiple iterations.
