The New York Times reporter, Nick Wingfield tweeted out that Nintendo’s latest installment, Nintendo Switch, in the console business is apparently the fastest selling console for the company as it managed to outsell the WII in US.

Although this is not official, and no official numbers have been released by Nintendo but it wouldn’t be a surprise considering Nintendo Switch sold over 80,000 console units in the UK alone in the first few days.
Legend of Zelda : Breath of Wild is also, now the best selling standalone launch title in Nintendo history beating Donkey Kong for the Nintendo 64.

With this, we can confirm that the Nintendo Switch is now one of the most successful consoles to have ever launched and is making a mark in the console market.
