Developed as a language learning app., Duolingo brings a very interactive method of teaching spoken languages. People can choose from a variety of languages such as English, German, Spanish, Greek, Hebrew etc. It also provides the option of learning a language from another language as well such as Spanish from French, or French from Portuguese etc. The app provides simple small-sized lessons based on listening and speaking the words through identifying images and contemplating the context out of them. The app also allows us to speak sentences and based on that it analyses our pronunciation and gives us a progress rating. Combining these two techniques along with a super user-friendly interface and the cartoonish look makes learning spoken languages easier.
It has been announced as the best free language learning app by the Wall Street Journal itself. Although there are in-app purchases but still for beginners, the app serves more than well.
Strava
Strava is an activity tracker app developed by Strava Inc. It helps to track a variety of movements and sports such as normal walking, jogging, swimming, skiing, paddling, cycling, and many more. The app also allows you to count the distance travelled, the speed and calories burned. Want to record your swimming pace or want to record the elevation gained during a hike, Strava allows to record all the above providing all other fitness data at once. Loved a riding trail, Strava records and suggests bike and jogging trails that are prominent around the area and gives us the option of mixing our paths to have better run/ride experience.it also consists of many challenges to take up. Be it monthly challenges or custom ones. Compete in these challenges with the other members of the Strava community.
It uses the app itself to record the data. For a better experience, it can also be paired up with a fitness watch for the data capture and analysis. You can even get the information for the upcoming marathon events and hence train for those marathons accordingly with the help of the app.

Developed by Google Creative Labs, Activity Bubbles is a Digital wellbeing app. Here each unlock creates a bubble that sets at the bottom of your screen. The more you unlock the phone the screen gets piled up bubbles. The size of the bubbles differs with the amount of usage before the phone was locked. The bubbles are dynamic and get displaced with the impact with the next bubble.
It gives a whole new definition to the term live wallpaper and is a very intriguing way of keeping a check on the amount of device usage.

Xodo is a PDF reader cum editor app. It helps you to only read pdf files but also do a variety of editing in them. You can highlight or underline a text and even you can directly write on a pdf. Other format files such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel files can be opened and saved as pdf through Xodo. Filling up pdf forms on mobile devices is no longer a hectic task. You can even sign into your pdf documents and save them for further entries. Annotation of pdf files is also supported by Xodo. Developed by Mark Dimartino, Beta maniac is an app that helps you manage the beta programs of your apps. It even allows you to participate in a limited number beta programs. The app regularly scans for the beta programs of the apps that are already installed into the device. When a beta program is available, the app sends a notification indicating the availability of the beta program. A simple click subscribes to the programs.
You can filter out the list of all apps that are currently installed and the beta programs that are available for the apps are indicated via a blue tick mark. When a beta program has been subscribed the mark turns green. Best application platform for beta testers till date.
