You can get AP from reaching a new rank, from going back to pick up one of the abilities from a previous rank, or from a handful of randomly generated abilities from one of the other standard soldier classes.
Now, how to earn AP on the field
Your soldiers need to perform certain tactical manoeuvres during combat. Here are some of the actions that can generate AP.
- Landing a shot from a flanking position.
- Ambushing an unaware enemy from cover.
- Shooting an enemy from an elevated position.
- Earning a combo kill, by teaming up with a teammate to take down an enemy.
Your soldiers can also earn 5 AP for defeating a Chosen member during any mission they show up in. Covert Ops via the Resistance Ring also have a chance to earn AP. Separate missions via the Resistance Ring that increase soldiers’ Combat Intelligence are also available to earn more AP.
