YouTube will now support HDR videos. These are videos that are shot in high-dynamic-range. This is give us the taste of a picture quality that was never witnessed before on YouTube. TV makers are especially excited about the new feature.
The videos shot in high-dynamic range emphasises color. They have more contrast between the brightest whites and darkest blacks and improves the overall image quality.
Both YouTube’s HDR video support and Chromecast Ultra streaming device falls in the same month. So Google has lot to give away this November. The latest Chromecasts will stream video in 4K and HDR.
