Two New PS4 Models Will be Announced Next Month

According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, Sony will be announcing a new standard PS4 model alongside a new, upgraded PS4 in September. These PS4 models would be measures taken to “maintain demand” for Sony’s system.

There is a Playstation Event scheduled for September 7 at 3PM EST. If there is any truth to this report, Sony should be announcing their new PS4 models there, so mark your calendars. A Sony spokesperson commented on this by saying, “Sony Interactive Entertainment does not comment on rumor or speculation.” But rumors of the so-called PS4 Neo have been going strong for a while now, so there’s probably some truth to them. Especially with the Xbox One S and the Xbox Scorpio on the way.
