The Greek Kingdom of Macedon is now officially announced and coming to the game in the next DLC in Civilizations VI.
Somewhat historically accurate, this race is led by Alexander the Great and has a Hellenistic ability, giving them extra bonuses after annexing a city, which depends on the build districts and buildings inside the city. Alexander can also wage wars with lesser war-monger-er penalties than some other races.
The units which are Macedon-only are called Hypaspis which replace the swordsman you get after researching iron. These special units get bonuses while attacking districts as well as more support unit bonuses.
Although there is no exact release date announced, we can expect the launch within a month or two and for Deluxe Edition owners, this as well as Persia which is the second upcoming civilization will be available for free.
