Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 Poster has an almost divine corruption to it – Are we the Sinners?

Another year and another Ubisoft release. Far Cry 5 was announced a little while back and we’re seeing the poster finally making its way fresh from the Ubisoft design team. There’s a lot to talk about in the poster alone, and it gives us a nice slew of hints and possibilities.

A group of heavily armed men are depicted sitting down in a almost “religious pose” like from the last supper, the stars on the US flag are exchanged with crosses and a almost messiah-type entity is sitting in the front.

The game is perhaps one of the most exciting settings we have seen so far; a true gut buster for anyone who wants to play a game which will possibly ridden with the realities of extremist religious fanaticism and perhaps a hard focus on “purging the sinners”.

There’s a lot to talk about. Firstly, the guy in the center of the table is obviously the antagonist; he’s followed by a gang of possibly crime hardened henchmen who we’ll come across throughout the game. To the “messiah’s” left, there is a somewhat less violent looking, almost calm characters which includes a woman, a wolf, and a few people who look at him with disagreement.

To his right however, the people have assault rifles and are mockingly, almost blindingly assuming the person as their “messiah”; being guns drawn shows us that they mean business, and most probably are the villains/henchmen we will come across during many missions.

The interesting bit is also to the front; a person, half naked is almost being judged by our antagonist for his “sins”. The “Sinner” is being presented in front of the jury to pay for wrong doings. The “messiah” is acting as a judge who dashes out divine justice and has the saw over who is right and who is wrong.
