Gwent has a single player campaign – Latest Trailer Shows off Multiplayer Action

CD Projekt RED just released their Witcher 3 card game Gwent, and the fans are absolutely in love with it. The game went into Open Beta yesterday and players flocked the servers to get some of that card game action.

Gwent is completely free to play, and you can download the game from their official website. Though, there are in-game purchases just like in Hearthstone and Gwent may actually be a competitor to it in the near future.

The latest gameplay trailer shows off primarily the combat system of the game without going too much in detail of the upcoming single player campaign. It’s not to be considered that the single player isn’t a large part of the game, it most probably will be. And we’ll hear a lot from it as the game’s development progresses.

One of the best part of the game is truly the adventure building the deck, the adrenaline rush of the Witcher combined with the strategic blend of Hearthstone; it really is an all-round amazing experience.

If you haven’t checked out the game, I highly suggest you do. It’s an almost perfect amalgam of Witcher 3 and a typical card game. Building decks is extremely fun once you understand the basic along with the best builds and strategies and you could spend an hour just getting that “just right” deck.

As mentioned before, there are in game purchases; you can buy kegs for real money and here’s the pricing model:

  • 1x Card Keg = 100 Ore
  • 2x Cards Kegs = $2.89 ($1.45 per Keg)
  • 7x Card Kegs = $9.53($1.36 per Keg)
  • 15x Card Kegs = $19.05 ($1.27 per Keg)
  • 40x Card Kegs = $47.65 ($1.19 per Keg)
  • 60x Card Kegs = $66.69 ($1.11 per Keg)

“The main source for new cards. You can earn new cards as a level-up reward, but those are few, far apart and in most cases nothing really of a great value to help turn the tides in your games. Kegs contain 5 cards in total. One of them is always a Rare, Epic or Legendary. First you have 4 cards that are randomly pulled out of all cards available”

Thanks, Vulkk.
