Konami announced Wednesday morning at Gamescom 2016 the first non-Kojima Metal Gear game, titled Metal Gear Survive. It’s a stealth action game focusing on Co-Op that takes place after Ground Zeroes, where wormholes suck the heroes into “alternate timelines” where they have to face stealth challenges.
Since the announcement, a Konami representative has informed that the game won’t be $60, but rather closer to the $30 price-point. If we take that, plus the fact that the “alternate timelines” concept won’t leave room for much of a real story, we can extrapolate that the title could be more of an arcade experience rather than a fully-fledged triple A product.
The game releases in 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Check out the debut trailer.
