Major Nelson announced on Twitter today that Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 are both now playable on Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature.
Both games are playable right now, and downloadable content for both games has even started popping up on the Microsoft Store on Xbox One. The first Mass Effect was already added to the backwards compatibility list, so now the entire trilogy is playable on Microsoft’s next-gen system.
Now, all that’s left for ME fans is to wait for Mass Effect: Andromeda. It’s meant to release by the end of March 2017 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
