We’ve been waiting for someone to test the same game side-by-side on the PS4 Pro and the regular PS4, and that’s exactly what Digital Foundry did with Battlefield 1. This outlet has been covering the PS4 Pro phenomenally, so we give them props for that. Below is the comparison video.
The verdict: on this title, the PS4 Pro offers better framerate, 10-15 frames per second more, than the regular PS4, sticking closer to 60 frames per second (though it’s not always able to maintain that benchmark). The PS4 Pro version also has better textures, effects, and details; improvements which are noticeable both on 4K and on 1080p, proving the fact that the Sony’s new system is worth buying even if you don’t own a 4K TV.
