Bethesda Executive’s Response for “Prey for the Gods” Debacle, Bethesda went “overboard”

If you don’t know the story yet, Bethesda filed a suit against the creators of a game called “Prey for the Gods”, making the developers of the game, change its name to “Prey for the gods” (kind of cheeky).

While we hadn’t heard any statements from Bethesda, the vice president of marketing at the gaming industry giants, Pete Hines, said on twitter “We really didn’t have much of a choice, if we don’t oppose the mark, we risk losing our Prey trademark. We don’t really have a choice”

while there was a heated session on twitter with people accusing Bethesda for going “overboard”.

Bethesda also did this with The Elder Scrolls series and Mahjong’s -at the time- newest game, Scrolls. While we don’t know what the company plans to do next, we hope it doesn’t cause a public backlash.

For more updates, stay tuned.
