Recently with Virtual Reality starting to enter the mainstream, many developers have shown a keen interest in the technology and developing with it. CD Projekt Red has also shown some interest in the technology; what this could mean is possibly a patch which allows users to play Witcher 3 in VR, though it’s too early to say.
Speaking with Glixel, Michał Kicińsk from CD Projekt Red said that the company is interested in VR and he himself personally is looking for a substantial release for the platform.
We are observing with interest. We are telling stories. If VR can help us, we’ll definitely consider it. But right now, I’m personally looking for something really substantial as an experience. Why did I pre-order the Switch? Not because I want the Switch. Because I want Zelda.
The Witcher 3 is the Game of the Year 2015 and is available for the PC, XBOX One and PlayStation 4.
