Get the Most Out of Your Device With These 9 Cool iPhone Hacks

iPhones are incredible devices, no doubt. But to get the most out of your device, you need to know how to work around it. Check out these cool iPhone hacks.

Did you know that there are over 100 million iPhone users in the United States alone? If you own an iPhone, that number probably isn’t a surprise to you, as you already know how wonderful the device truly is.

An iPhone can make your everyday life that much easier. And if you know a few basic iPhone hacks, you can get even more out of the device, helping you get your money’s worth in the process.

So what are some basic tips and tricks that you can do with your iPhone that you might not know about? And what features are you probably not taking advantage of at the moment? We’ve got the answers to those questions, and more, in this article!

Now then, let’s get started!

1. Speed Up the Charging Process

We’ve all been there before.

Your phone is almost dead, so you plug it in to charge. The only problem is, you have somewhere you need to be soon, and thus, you can’t get a full charge before you leave.

Well, while a full charge probably isn’t going to happen, you can speed up the charging process by putting your phone on airplane mode while it’s charging. This can help give you a bit more life, especially if you’re in a hurry, which can be quite helpful.

2. Keep Your Camera Focused

While iPhone cameras are great, sometimes getting them to stay focused can be a bit difficult. Well, believe it or not, there is a hack that exists that can help make this a problem of the past!

Simply press on your screen what you want your camera to focus on. After a few seconds, you’ll see an “AE/AF Lock”  banner appear in the top left corner, and your camera will lock focus on what you told it to.

Pretty neat, right?

3. Create Unique Vibrations

We all know about custom ringtone downloads and how awesome and convenient they can be. But did you know that you can get a similar effect even when your iPhone is in silent mode?

Creating custom vibrations for certain alerts, and even certain people is a great way to know who is contacting you without having to look at your phone. The best part? Creating these custom vibrations is quite easy, and you’re only limited to what patterns your imagination can come up with!

4. Improve Your Battery Life

As great as the iPhone is, they aren’t all that helpful or useful with a dead battery. And if you don’t know what to do, and what not to do, you can drain your battery faster than normal, which isn’t a good thing.

So, keep your apps closed and turn off background data refreshing for all of your apps. Also, keep your screen brightness low and utilize Low Power Mode whenever your battery starts to dwindle down.

5. Turn on the LED Notification Light

The LED light on the back of your iPhone is a pretty useful tool. From acting as a flash for your camera to a flashlight at night, that little light can more than get the job done in a wide variety of scenarios.

But what if you could make it flash when you got a new text message, alerting you from far away? Well, believe it or not, you actually can!

Simply go to your Settings, then the General tab, then Accessibility, and scroll down to until you see “LED Flash for Alerts.” Enable this feature and your phone will flash some light every time you have a notification!

6. Save Websites to Your Home Screen

While mobile applications are great, sometimes you can only access something via your iPhone’s web browser. And while it isn’t that difficult to open your browser and then click on a bookmark, this isn’t the fastest way to load your favorite web pages.

You can actually save your bookmarks to your iPhone’s home screen. That way you can limit how many clicks it takes to load up a webpage

7. Power Off Your Device Often

While it may be tempting to leave your phone on all the time, this is actually not the best idea. In fact, it’s wise to turn your device off often if you can to allow it to reset and clear any cache or saved data that may be slowing it down.

A pro tip? Turn your phone off every single morning when you first wake up. Also, simply turning your phone on and off is all you need to do, so don’t worry about leaving it off for a long period of time.

8. Keep Your Phone Up to Date

Sure, those pesky iPhone updates pop up all the time and not all of them are urgent. And even worse, they take forever to download, leaving you without your iPhone until the update is completed.

But if you put off these updates, or avoid them completely, you’re leaving yourself susceptible to various cyberattacks. Also, odds are your favorite apps won’t work as well, either, which isn’t what you want.

9. Activate “Do Not Disturb While Driving”

Did you know that distracted driving is the number one cause of automobile accidents in the United States? If you’re someone who has a hard time putting your phone down, consider activating “Do Not Disturb While Driving.”

This feature can help make you a better driver, and even save your life or someone else’s, which is why it’s more than a good idea to activate it.
