If you own the PC version of Nier Automata you probably faced a ton of issues in the game; the poor optimization and stuttering being a few. Though, Square Enix are yet to send out any fixes or even address these issues, modders have taken it upon themselves to start fixing them one by one.
Nier Automata Far mod by Kaldaien with its latest version, completely fixes the cutscene lag for the Pc version. Kaldaien apparently did this by fiddling with the frame rate limiter, so it switches from a sort of “sleep mode” to active, during the cutscenes.

The modder also revealed that he’s working on graphical improvements in the upcoming versions of the Far Mod, which includes improvements in God-rays and Bloom for Nier Automata.
Even though PCs are less hardware limited, the developers didn’t fully utilize the PC platform for the game when porting it. But still, this game is undoubtedly one of the best RPG hack and slash games on the block.
Nier Automata is available on PC and PlayStation 4.
