“At present, the server capacity is not powerful enough”, said developer Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke regarding the Japanese release of Pokemon GO. Pokemon GO Delayed in Japan and is expected to be released by the end of July.
The decision was probably made due to how much the game suffered on its North American and European release. The game was extremely buggy when it first released and is now slowly getting better. It’s a wise decision to hold off the Japanese to prevent these issues. Hanke stated that they are “working hard with our partners in Japan” to make the servers functional.
Pokemon GO will probably be released worldwide by the end of the year. It launched today in Canada. Check out here for more details.
