Square Enix, creators of the classic RPG franchise Final Fantasy, are making an RPG exclusive to Apple Watch called Cosmos Rings.
The main gameplay mechanics will focus on the Apple Watch’s pedometer, so the game will most likely involve players walking, much like Pokemon GO. This is why the game is exclusive to the Apple Watch; it sends players notifications about how many steps they’ve taken in a particular day, which can only be done on the Apple Watch, according to Square Enix.
Cosmos Rings is produced by Takehiro Ando, creator of the mobile franchise Chaos Rings (oddly similar name to this new RPG), and the art will be handled by Yusuke Naora, art director of the classic Final Fantasy VII.
The game will be out presumably this fall and will be available on the App Store and the Watch App Store.
