There are a lot of games which PETA, the animal’s right organization has complained about in the past. Their latest target is Tekken 7. While the game had already launched in Japan, a western release for the PC version was expected in June.
While the game’s western release month isn’t disturbed, a beloved boxing kangaroo, Kangaroo Roger Jr will not be included in the game. While speaking with VG247, the executive producer of Bandai Namco, Katsuhiro Harada said:
“There was a video of a man’s dog being headlocked by a kangaroo, and he punched it in the face. It turned into a big problem. People were complaining about him punching a kangaroo. It seems that in the last few years there’s a lot more animal activists—even though they probably wouldn’t play our game they would still hear about that, about a kangaroo in our game being punched, and would complain about it.”
Tekken 7 will release on the PC on 2nd June, 2017.
