Capcom announced a Monster Hunter movie at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 which kicked off today. The announcement was made by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.
Tsujimoto appeared on stage to talk about Monster Hunter Stories, the 3DS entry of the franchise which releases October 8. He didn’t say much about the Monster Hunter movie other than it’s not related to Stories. We don’t know how far along in production it is or when it’s supposed to come out, anything really.
What we do know is Capcom has both experience and success under its belt in the movie industry with the Resident Evil movies. So we’ll definitely keep an eye out for this project.
