You can pay for Z Capsules via Zeni in the lobby area. You can use these capsules to unlock character skins and collectibles like Z Stamps, etc. When you get into the lobby area for the first time, make sure to speak with each vendor. In the end, you will get 2,000 Zeni for trying out each shop.

You get 300 Zeni for each tutorial mission and the same amount for winning a local battle. Outside these avenues, you get Zeni in Story Mode and online battles. After finishing the tutorial missions, beat the Story Mode and dive into online battles. You will get Zeni, whether you win or lose.

Now, the best way to spend your Zeni is up to you but it is recommended to buy Z Capsules. For this, go to the vendor in the lobby area to the left of Kame House. The rate is one capsule for 1,000 Zeni and 10 for 10,000. Each capsule gets you a random item. It could be a new lobby character for example the police Krillin or golden Frieza or it could be a new Z Stamp which are basically emojis for your character in the lobby area. Each such item has a star rating out of 5, classifying it into common or rare find categories.

If you somehow get duplicate items, you will get a Z Coin. Get 10 Z Coins to get one item of your choice from the Shop Reception vendor. That’s all about how to earn Zeni quickly in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
