Metal Gear Survive has been heavily disliked by gamers since it was revealed. Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear creator and long-time developer until he left Konami to form his own studio, had a few words to say about the title as well.

“That’s got nothing to do with me”, he said when asked if Survive was originally his idea. He also criticized the use of zombies in the game: “The Metal Gear games are about political fiction and espionage. Where do zombies fit in with that?”

He also touched on what he would’ve done differently: “If I had worked on that game, it would have mechs in it.”
