The Nintendo Switch is one of the best selling consoles in the world, especially in the UK where it sold over 80,000 units in the first few days of release. Due to high demand for the Switch, UK retails are concerned and there seems to be a shortage of the system all around.
HMV head of technology and games Phil Browes quoted:
We satisfied all pre-orders and blasted through the remainder of our initial allocation. Every single one of our pre-order customers received their console on launch day, and we’re optimistic that with some great games due to be released, Switch can establish itself as a successful third console in the market. We’re a bit tight [on stock] but we’re looking forward to more deliveries this week
It seems to be obvious that the Nintendo Switch is successful and the demand for it outplays the supply; it may be a while since we can see every single customer getting their hands on the console.
