Now that this game has been released for PC, more tweaks and tricks are needed as this game is buggy on PC.

This guide will show how to change mouse sensitivity and increase FOV during gameplay.

How to change Increase FOV

As this a fps game, the field of view (FOV) is very important. The default FOV in the game is 100 and follow the steps to increase it to 135-150. Note that this only works with the PC version of the game.

1: Go to Game Settings Location:
(?? Drive:\Program\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man’s Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS)

2: Look for ‘TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML’ file and Right click to ‘edit with notepad’

3: Locate:

  • <Property name=”FoVOnFoot” value=”100.000000″ />
  • <Property name=”FoVInShip” value=”100.000000″ />

Change the Settings to:

  • <Property name=”FoVOnFoot” value=”150.000000″ />
  • <Property name=”FoVInShip” value=”150.000000″ />

4: Save the File and Exit

5: Enjoy the all new FOV setting

Note: Make the file is ‘Read Only’ after making the changing the values or it will be set to Default.

 

How to change mouse sensitivity

1: Go to Game Settings Location:
(?? Drive:\Program\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man’s Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS)

2: Look for ‘GCUSERSETTINGSDATA.MXML’ and Right click to ‘edit with notepad’

3: Locate:

  • <Property name=”LookSensitivity” value=”0″ />
  • <Property name=”FlightSensitivity” value=”0″ />

Change the Settings to:

  • <Property name=”LookSensitivity” value=”-50″ />
  • <Property name=”FlightSensitivity” value=”-50″ />

4: Save the File and Exit

5: Enjoy your Smoother Mouse sensitivity
