Extra Sync Shot (Single Player Mode)

This ability is basically you pointing your gun at an enemy and all your squad mates take that enemy out. You need to fully upgrade the Extra Sync Shot ability in the Squad Category. You can avoid this if you are playing multiplayer. But you gotta get this if you are playing solo as the AI hardly misses a shot.

Thermal Vision

The day and night cycle in the game is quite appealing. Stealth missions are best activated at night time. Press N on PC to activate night vision. But it’s not very efficient as objects in the background appear as thermal spots, making it harder to distinguish them from actual persons. Thermal Vision is a better option. This is a good upgrade to make if you are going for stealth missions more often than not.

Drone Range

This is a really good ability to fully max out early in the game as taking out a camp full of enemies without being detected is the best way to experience this game to the fullest. Drones are very useful in such missions. They can spot people and important objects. Fully upgrade the range power of the drone and you will find these missions will get much fun and much easier.

Stamina

This may not look like much but this is a key stat as well. This is very useful for running away and swimming fast in large bodies of water. At the max upgrade level, you unlock unlimited stamina, most definitely a big advantage in the field.

Stable Aim

One shot, one kill, no luck, all skill. This skill is very important for stealth missions as if you miss a shot, you will alert the enemy. So you need to make your shot count and this is where fully upgrading this ability will help you a lot. This gives you a 65% sway reduction.
