  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type regedit in the Run command window that opens
  3. Press Enter
  4. When the Registry Editor window opens, go to the required registry key that for which you need permission to delete
  5. Right-click on the key
  6. Select Permission from options
  7. Click Advanced button in the Permissions for Display dialogue box that opens
  8. Click Change link near Trustedinstaller
  9. The Select User or Group dialogue box opens
  10. Now you can enter your username in Enter the object name to select
  11. Click Check Names button
  12. Click OK once done
  13. Select your username under Group or user name in the Permissions for Display window
  14. Check the Allow checkbox in front of Full Control
  15. Click Apply
  16. Click OK
  17. Now you can go ahead and delete the registry key you need to
